On the women's side of the Enumclaw Omnium, things went well-  Especially for us being between the waves of spring and summer races.  Kimberly Turner and Myself were representing, and we scored solid 6th and 1st place results in the overall General Classification. 

In the midst of post-collegiate nationals recovery, Kimberly has been taking it easy on the bike, with her eye on the seriously intense schedule of racing in June and July.  Her determination and persistence carried her a long way this weekend, the protest from her legs not withstanding (they thought the resting routine wasn't so bad!)  Despite the R&R she can still climb like a monkey and hang tough in a 24mph-average criterium.

For myself, I was super pleased with a 1st place in the time trial, two 2nd place finishes in the other stages, and the overall win. I couldn't really ask for much more.  A few words of thanks- I'm awfully grateful to Derik and Michelle for housing us, the men's team for cheering and being helpful, and at least 5 of the cat 1/2 women who chased like mad with me each time we/I got shelled going up the ol' hill climb during Sunday's Road Race.

The men racked up some excellent results and demonstrated some aggressive teamwork, but they can tell you about it with more accuracy than I.
