So, the resident old-school, low-tech, just-going-by-feel team member has finally broken down and dropped some serious coin on a brand new wireless power meter: the Power Tap SL 2.4.  To me, it's a cute little screen mounted on the stem of my team-issue Giant road bike, made more cheerful by its distinctive yellow color. While it does not leap tall buildings in a single bound (or confer such power on its user either), it IS a talented device, capable of feeding me all sorts of information from how fast I turn the pedals, to how far I ride, to how much energy I expend pedaling, to the rate my heart pumps liters of blood through my musculature..... Yes, its abilities and its intelligence probably far exceed my own, but I have yet to figure out how to teach it to communicate with my PC so that it can actually SHARE its knowledge of me WITH me! Ironic, huh?

But seriously, folks. I'll figure it out. And when I do, look out...It's my new not-so-secret Secret Weapon for speed!
