While Team Bobs-Bicycles.com sent a solid contingency to the road races in Washington this past weekend, a smaller but equally solid group of us stayed home to continue our spring training, which had been on weather delay up until about 6 weeks ago. And now, just a few days remain before the local Jason Broome Memorial Time Trial, which kicks off our area spring racing. Sure, it's early season and no one can expect to be flying, but it's natural to still hope to be at least sort of fast. Put it this way: a slow time trial in early March can be interpreted as meaningless--a yardstick, nothing more. But a fast one.....A fast one can portend great things for the rest of the season! I can't wait to try out my new(ish) TT bike with its brand new Bontrager XXX Race Lite aerobars, and I am confident that many of my teammates and I will be...at least sort of fast.
